Author(s) Guidelines for Submitted Articles

MyHealthandFitness, LLC is about living a healthy lifestyle. We publish original articles dealing with health, fitness, training/workouts, nutrition, holistic wellness, health and beauty, and interdependent issues for children to adults and beginners to professionally competitive athletes.

We invite and welcome potential articles for both the website and our online magazine.

TYPES OF ARTICLES MyHealthandFitness considers the following types of articles for publication:

General or Supplemental stories/articles:

Length of these articles is approximately 200 – 250 words in length. They must be concise and well written, as well as original, high-quality, and focused to topic in title of article.

Feature Articles:

These articles are more substantial and give more information than a general or supplemental article. Length is confined to about 300 – 350 words with the same guidelines otherwise as for general/supplemental articles.

MyHealthExpress Online Magazine Articles:

These articles are meant to entertain, enlighten, and give knowledge that will empower individuals with a better foundation for a healthy lifestyle. There is more flexibility in topic with such articles dependent on editor approval. Length for MyHealthExpress online magazine articles shall not exceed 1,000 words. Exclusive feature articles shall not exceed 1,500 words. The latter are either proposed by the author or sought after by the editor.

Each article must include your research references. However, references will not be posted online, but an original copy of the article with included references is saved in our archives.

All articles of any type must be original and not published elsewhere.

Articles must not use any type of copyrighted work such as photographs, illustrations, figures, etc. All work must be original meaning that the author holds current rights to the text and graphics included in the submitted article.

Submission:

Submission of article(s) is via email that MyHealthandFitness will provide after initial contact. In the subject line of the email, please put: “Article Submission for MyHealthandFitness: Brief Paper Title.” All correspondence, including notification of the Editor’s decision and requests for revision, takes place by e-mail removing the need for a paper trail.

Article formatting guidelines are simple (with 2 blank line spacing between each of the following parts):

  • Title of the Article
  • Author name as you desire it to appear
  • Article full text

Font and Software:

All article submissions are to be formatted in MS Word only using 12 point Times/Times New Roman.

A CV will be required from potential author(s) upon submission of article.

Copyright:

Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to complete a ‘Publishing Agreement’. Acceptance of the agreement will ensure the widest possible dissemination of information. An e-mail will be sent to the corresponding author confirming receipt of the manuscript together with a ‘Publishing Agreement’ form or a link to the online version of this agreement.

Subscribers may reproduce tables of contents or prepare lists of articles including summaries for internal circulation within their institutions. Permission of the Publisher is required for resale or for distribution outside MyHealthandFitness, LLC and for all other derivative works, including compilations and translations. If excerpts from other copyrighted works are included, the author(s) must obtain written permission from the copyright owners and credit the source(s) in the article.
