A Positive Attitude – Weight Loss Key #1

By now you know that there are no magic pills for weight loss. This is why the first key is so important; there are 7 keys.

That key is a positive attitude. No matter what, keeping a positive attitude will help you be more persistent, which is how you get that weight off – long term.

Compare the before and after photos below of Tanya; she decided to learn the 7 keys and put them into practice. Would you like to achieve similar results? The photo on the left was taken 90 days before the photo on the right. She developed a positive attitude and look what happened. Perhaps the greatest principle is that such an attitude will spill over into every facet of your life. You were meant to be successful so, be successful. It begins with this attitude!

Attitude is the first of a 7-part series about the real scoop on losing weight and keeping it off. This article is based on years of scientific research and literally thousands of articles on the subject.

If you follow our “90 Days to a New You” program, the rewards are much more than physical.

Weight loss is in reality a simple process. In scientific terms, it can be called mass balance or simply calories eaten – calories used = calories stored. The storage represents weight loss or gain.

If you eat more calories than you use, you’ll gain weight and if you use more calories than you eat, you’ll lose weight. For example, if you eat 100 calories less than you need each day, you will lose 10 pounds per year. If you eat 100 calories more than you need each day, you will gain 10 pounds in a year.

There are many would-be experts that will tell you all that’s needed is to think positive, get rid of your large clothes and get smaller ones and simply, quit eating so much. Or, perhaps quit your job as a chef and become a taxi driver. Such is very poor advice and is short sighted.

Like a diet, a pump-up speech is only a temporary jump start to a hidden problem. Long-term lifestyle change must be effected by the individual, by you. You must develop desire from deep within; desire is what turns mediocrity into greatness.

While you may initially enjoy my straightforward manner in saying this, you will quickly learn that my pump-up speech doesn’t give you much but fluff. What you wind up getting is a quick pick-me-up like an early morning breakfast with lots of sugar, followed by a midday crash. After all is said and done, it is you that will have to do the real work.

Obesity is the end result for everyone who overeats. Many do this on a daily basis. But, it is not like you eat something and the next day blimp out. If this were so, it would be easy for most of us to combat obesity. Sadly, obesity is something that slowly creeps up on you until you realize, “I’m fat; I need help.”

Numerous families have a history of overeating and both parents and children are overweight. Despite efforts to combat this problem, without a clear cut goal and knowledge of what to do they will remain overweight. So, while their story may be interesting, it hasn’t helped them and likely will not help you. Why? Very few Americans are obese due to pituitary dysfunction or other medical problems. As a matter of fact, studies show that over 90% are obese due to overindulgence in sugar, alcohol, and other high caloric foods. A great majority of diabetes has arisen due to poor nutrition and overindulgence.

Combating weight gain is quite simple really, you must slowly change your nutrition and exercise habits. I am going to show you how. Not through drastic diets and killer boot camp techniques, but by gaining a little knowledge and insight into the problem of obesity. And, a little elbow grease on your part.

Many are on this same path; while their stories are inspiring, you are the one who will have to travel your own journey, another cannot do it for you.
The seven keys are based on years of science. Following is the first key. As you read the 7-keys, you must develop a plan for each area. Without developing a plan to follow the 7-steps, you may not succeed. This will require effort on your part because there is no magic pill!

KEY 1-ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!
Keep A Positive Attitude – develop your attitude; desire to be your best. Studies have shown that positive thought can actually boost the immune and other body systems to work more efficiently. Using the power of the mind to direct positive thought can and will help weight loss.

Think about how you want to be and how you want to look. It should not require a significant event in your life to effect an attitude change. It is your future. Do you want to be active and mobile in retirement or perhaps you would prefer to use a walker or wheelchair. This seems like a bleak picture, but if you look around it is reality to many who did not care for their body.

I am asking you to begin with baby steps, so that you will train your body and mind, quickly and easily to learn new and better eating and exercise habits.
I will teach you the 7 keys and then, introduce a 90-day program to you that will help you effect the changes you desire. All you have to do is be persistent and follow the program like a recipe.

Day-by-day, I will show you how to become fit and teach you the correct principles on how to live a healthy lifestyle. Putting them into practice is not difficult because you will learn how to crawl before you walk and then run. Picture yourself now, i.e., before and then, after.

Begin your personal journey today!
